Referrals
Any staff person at a medical facility knowing of a need for our services may refer: social workers, case managers, doctors, nurses, or chaplains. The staff person must contact a TSH Admissions Volunteer and give the necessary referral information.
Restrictions
For everyone’s protection, guests who have infectious diseases cannot be admitted or if already in the House, will be asked to leave. Infectious diseases include, but are not limited to: chicken pox, shingles, measles, hepatitis A, or tuberculosis. Guests must be able to take care of themselves. If a guest has limitations, a caregiver for that individual must also be registered as a guest. Minor-aged children (17 years of age and under) must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
No alcohol, drugs, or smoking on the premises. If someone is under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the request, they are not allowed access.
Room Availability
Tracy’s Sanctuary House offers sleeping rooms on a first-come, first-serve basis—rooms will not be reserved in advance.
Due to space limitations only one sleeping room is allowed per patient; exceptions will be left to the discretion of the Admission Committee. More than one family might be occupying the House at the same time. Rooms will not be reserved for future return visits.
Cost
There is no charge to stay at TSH for guests experiencing a medical crisis; guests are encouraged to make a donation. For guests receiving chemotherapy, KDU or radiation treatment, the Board asks that they donate a minimum of $25/night to help cover the cost of keeping TSH open in order to benefit others. Tracy’s Sanctuary House is supported solely by donations and operates with the assistance of volunteers.
